Tracy Wilson, Ojibway, passing the water to the community after Dorene Day, the Keeper of the Healing the WaterSongs and of the Ojibway Nation, lifted it in a prayer of petition and gratitude and sang the water song. It is the women's responsibility to look after the water, including praying for it each day, and passing it when in ceremony.
